VLTOR Original MODSTOCK – Foliage Green – NOS

An increasingly difficult-to-find example of VLTOR’s original MODSTOCK design, offered here in Foliage Green.

Introduced in the early 2000s, the original VLTOR MODSTOCK was one of the early premium alternatives to the standard M4 collapsible stock. Its distinctive profile, improved cheek weld, modular battery storage and multiple sling attachment options made the design a recognizable piece of GWOT-era AR equipment.

This is the original MODSTOCK design, predating VLTOR’s later IMOD and EMOD stocks. For collectors and builders looking for period-correct components, the original profile and Foliage Green finish make these especially desirable.

The original VLTOR MODSTOCK is particularly well suited to early-to-mid GWOT-era AR builds where period-correct aftermarket and individually selected components are desired.

Because individual weapons in the field were frequently configured with a variety of stocks and accessories, clone builders should reference photographs of the specific rifle or configuration they intend to replicate when pursuing a strictly clone-correct build.

Why the Original MODSTOCK?

The MODSTOCK was introduced when the standard M4 collapsible stock still dominated the AR platform. VLTOR's design added substantial cheek-weld surfaces and removable storage compartments while retaining a compact overall profile. The side compartments provided convenient storage for batteries used by period optics and weapon lights without requiring removal of the stock.

The resulting silhouette became closely associated with the early generation of upgraded AR carbines and remains instantly recognizable on a period-inspired build.

Foliage Green adds another layer of period character. The subdued gray-green color was widely associated with equipment from the 2000s and early 2010s and pairs especially well with mixed FDE, OD, black and painted components on GWOT-style rifles.

New Old Stock (NOS). These are original-production components that have been stored for an extended period. Minor cosmetic storage, packaging or handling marks may be present and are normal for NOS equipment.
